Aim :

•This session explores your role as a Front Line Practitioner when identifying and discussing parental conflict with parents.

Learning Outcomes :

When you have comleted this course you will be able to;

•Recognise the key differences between destructive and constructive conflict and the impact this has on child outcomes.

• Understand whether the formation of families changes the quality of those relationships and the warning signs that a relationship is in distress.

•Know why active listening and empathy are as important as how you ask the right questions.

•Have confidence in practice in working with parents in conflict situations and using the tools available to support this work.

Minimum Requirements :

Please note, you must be able to attend the whole programme. Missing part of the training will mean that your partial attendance will not be counted as having completed this training and you will not receive certification.

Applicants must have completed Foundation (Agency specific, in-house) safeguarding training.
